Student Liberty Alliance

With help from PHC, students at Drexel University brought Fox
News and Judge Andrew Napolitano to their campus

On most college campuses today there is a distinct and well-documented liberal bias.  Students who may not necessarily agree with the politically correct ideas espoused by their professors, administrators, and fellow students are not encouraged to voice their opinions.  In fact, in a circumstance teeming with irony, colleges who proudly boast of their “diversity” systematically admonish these students for speaking out.

Such a stifling atmosphere is not only detrimental to the true charter of the education system, but it is against the fundamental beliefs that created our great nation.

At the Patrick Henry Center, we are determined to prevent political injustices from going unchecked.  We believe the students of America would do well to participate in the legacy of our namesake, Patrick Henry—a legacy that embraces political courage, sound moral values, and the freedom of political speech.

We are shocked and disappointed that today's college students have so far failed to rise up to protect their own Liberty.  The Patrick Henry Center hopes to inspire young people to find the courage to protect what Patrick Henry called this "precious jewel."

It is the mission of our conservative student outreach program, the Student Liberty Alliance, to hold the corrupt intelligentsia at the core of our higher education establishment to account.  We will challenge them to create an environment of true intellectual diversity on campus and to respect the inalienable right of all students to free speech; rather than using the terms “diversity,” “free speech,” and “multicultural” as cover in a cynical agenda to stifle the development of young conservatives.

The Center's primary focus for the immediate future is to support student activism on behalf of the promotion and protection of their Liberty.  We believe visible student activism is essential to the success of our movement and will support these activities.  For information please contact Katy Blackwell at k.blackwell@patrickhenrycenter.com.
